Two years ago it was the first time when I heard about the process of jailbreaking. It was pretty confusing at first, especially since it required me to bypass Apple’s OS, but, after a little of research, I decided that Cydia download store is something I do not want to miss, despite the risks I might have.
My fears soon vanished, when I learned that jailbreaking is actually safe, clean and easy. And the best thing is that Cydia download store comes right after you perform jailbreak, without you having to do anything else.
Therefore, I installed Cydia on my iPhone and started to browse through its categories. Here, I want to show you some of my favorite tweaks, some of them have become quite necessary for me.
First, I decided to change the look and appearance of the Lockscreen, since it was the first thing I see when I access my device. For this, I needed some customization Cydia apps and tweaks, and now, I am pretty satisfied how it looks. The tweaks used to accomplish the lockscreen redesign are:
– Clock Hide
Winterboard is actually very famous and is not limited only to the lock screen. With the help of this app, you can change many other aspects and options.
In what concerns the Homescreen, I felt that this also needs a reconstruction. After all, it is the heavily used area of my device. I have used the power of Springtomize 2 to shrink some icons, and give it a nice overflow effect on the dock. In the same time, I changed the dock scroll, and page flipping animations. Therefore, the tweaks I used to change Homescreen are as follows:
– Dashboard X
For the Barrel app, I used multiple widgets such as weather Widget, Google Dash, NCSettings and Dashtweet. Nonetheless, Cydia download store has plenty of other interesting widgets you can download.
Now, for the last part, the Notification Center, I wanted to make it more accessible and effective. I sued a tweak called FastBlurredNotificationCenter to give it a nice background. I also added multiple new toggles and Widgets from Cydia download Store.
Here, for these changes, I used the following tweaks:
– Cydia SearchNC
However, there are not the only things I changed with the help of Cydia download Store. I also improved multitasking, app switcher and push notifications. I also downloaded Activator, a wonder Cydia app that can be used for so many things and options, Curiosa for the Cydia push updates, and Auxo.
Most of these apps and tweaks are to be found with a simple Cydia download in the BigBoss repo, and some of them are free of charge. The rest of them have prices between$0.99 in the case of Infinidock and $2.99 in the case of Barrel or Springtomize 2. But, I am telling you for sure that you will not regret spending money on any of these apps and tweaks.
